Our Story

Hakka Wok brings bold Indo-Chinese flavors inspired by Tangra in Kolkata — the neighborhood where Chinese immigrants blended wok cooking with Indian spices and created a cuisine all its own.

Chef Joseph Lee, a second-generation Chinese Indian born in Kolkata, studied in Australia and worked at Hot Wok Village in Schaumburg before opening his own restaurant. Experience fiery dishes like Chilli Chicken and Manchurian Fried Rice that reflect generations of fusion cuisine.
